The power of RSS feeds

AlertInfo Once upon a time the revolution. Forget the time you needed to surf the net or your favorite online newspapers to get the info. It is now brought directly to your computer. These news you receive are called Really Simple Syndication (RSS) or Atom feeds. And a free RSS Reader is necessary to collect the news and organize your feeds. In your reader, you have a broad view of your syndicated websites/weblogs. By cliking on the news headline you get a short description and the possiblity to check the whole article in your RSS browser.
What you actually have to do when you want to syndicate a website is to look for a pictogram such as RSS or XML, and copy and paste the link in your reader.
Here is a short list of free RSS readers: NewsGator, FeedReader, RSS Reader or BlogLines. AlertInfo build up by a group of French newspapers is the most famous RSS Reader in the hexagon. NewsGator (French) and Google Reader (needs a Gmail account) are also available.
